DSCC = Democratic State Central Committee
The DSCC is the governing body for the Democratic Party of Louisiana and has sole responsibility for the affairs of this Louisiana Democratic Party. It is comprised of 210 members, where two DSCC seats are elected in each House legislative district for a 4-year term (1 seat for a female and 1 seat for a male).
You must be a registered Democrat to run for DSCC and to vote for DSCC members.
Responsibilities:
Helps elect Democratic candidates in local, state, and national elections
Elects party leadership
Conducts the Democratic National Committee delegate selection process
Engages in fundraising
Conducts research on judicial and executive issues
Maintains voter relations, education, and leadership programs
Encourages party participation by Louisiana voters and citizens
DPEC = Democratic Parish Executive Committee
DPECs are your go-to Democratic bodies at the local/parish level. They are under the jurisdiction of the DSCC (Democratic State Central Committee) and DNC (Democratic National Committee). DPEC seats are based on the the parish council districts. In Jefferson Parish, there are 5 seats for each district and 10 At-Large seats.

Builds Democratic infrastructure within their communities
Promotes Democratic Party activities
Communicates with the the DSCC (Democratic State Central Committee)
Collaborate with local organizations
Conducts voter outreach/registration
